Endorsement will formalise commitment to First Nations communities and advance reconciliation
Bechtel has today launched its Reconciliation Action Plan following endorsement by Reconciliation Australia, in a formal commitment to expand access and opportunity for First Nations people across its projects and operations in Australia. Artwork by Gladstone First Nations artist Jarrod Beezley was unveiled during the launch, recognizing the foundation and growth of Bechtel’s work across the nation.
“While we have always established programs on our projects to provide opportunities for First Nations participation, this RAP enables us to formalize our commitments and measure progress across our business,” said Bechtel Australia Chair Leigh Clifford. “This is an important step to continue supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce, and supply chain.”
