Today, Bechtel celebrates the official opening of the new Bechtel Craft Professional Recruitment Center in Brownsville, Texas. The center provides a location for members of the Brownsville and surrounding communities to connect with recruiters, learn more about employment opportunities with Bechtel at the Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project, and expedite the onboarding process when joining the Bechtel team.

“The opening of the Bechtel Craft Professional Recruitment Center marks a significant milestone in our commitment to the Rio Grande Valley community and the Rio Grande LNG project,” said Bechtel’s Senior Project Manager, Scott Osborne. “This center will play a crucial role in ensuring that the project is staffed with skilled local professionals as we intensify our efforts to hire thousands of locals. Our success is a testament to the quality of our people, whose dedication and expertise drive our projects forward.”
The center, located at 568 Springmart Boulevard, Suite 100, serves primarily as the recruitment center for the RGLNG project at the Port of Brownsville and includes a computer lab, orientation classroom, and on-site medical facility for pre-employment screenings.
City and County officials joined in the recruitment center’s ribbon-cutting ceremony held today, June 18, 2024.
“The grand opening of the new Bechtel Recruitment Center is a significant milestone for both Bechtel and the local community. This new center will serve as the central hub for hiring and onboarding the skilled workforce needed to construct the Rio Grande LNG project,” said Cameron County Judge, Eddie TreviƱo Jr. “The Recruitment Center represents the company’s commitment to attracting top talent and providing a seamless, efficient hiring process and symbolizes the economic opportunities and community growth that the Rio Grande LNG plant will bring to Cameron County. Congratulations to Bechtel on this momentous occasion.”
