Bechtel announced today that the company has earned the 2014 Military Friendly Employer® title conferred by the publisher of G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse magazines. The title is awarded to companies that meet criteria tied to their key programs and policies such as the strength of the company’s military recruiting efforts, the percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs, and company policies on employee service to the U.S. National Guard and military reserves.

The 2014 Military Friendly Employers reported hiring over 117,000 service members and spouses over the last 12 months, representing an average of 14 percent of total new hires.”

Companies earn the Military Friendly Employer title based on the results of a data-driven survey. The survey data was independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP based upon the weightings and methodology established by Victory Media, whose publications are important resources for transitioning service members and spouses seeking civilian employment.
