Bechtel today announced that it has awarded its first procurement contracts for the construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant.
Maximizing opportunities for local suppliers strengthens Bechtel’s ability to support the community and deliver quality projects. Our first procurement contracts will go to Polish suppliers.
The selected companies represent a range of industries and include translation, logistics, and technical services, laying the foundation for enduring partnerships between Bechtel and Polish suppliers. The companies who have signed agreements to partner with Bechtel on this groundbreaking project include:
- Energoprojekt – Katowice S.A. is one of the largest design and engineering companies in Europe. EPK will provide services for codes and standards, environmental permitting strategy, and will be provided opportunities for supporting permitting documentation.
- Prochem SA is a Poland-based company engaged in the engineering and construction and environmental sectors. Prochem shall be provided opportunities for supporting permitting documentation.
- Summa Linguae Technologies S.A. builds technology-enabled solutions to help global, content-rich companies with multi-lingual data challenges. Summa Linguae S.A. will support translation services.

Background
Bechtel has been selected to partner on the design and construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant at the Lubiatowo-Kopalino site in Pomerania. In partnership with Westinghouse Electric Company, Bechtel will deliver three AP1000® reactors for Polish utility - Polskie Elektrownie JÄ…drowe for its inaugural nuclear energy project.
