    Intergen Completes Financing Of Callide Power Plant In Australia

    InterGen today announced that it has completed the debt financing for a 50 percent stake in the 840 MW Callide C power facility in Queensland, Australia. Callide C, a coal-fired facility, is projected to begin commercial operations in May of 2001 and is the extension of an existing facility that is currently in operation. The remaining 50 percent stake in Callide C is owned by CS Energy, one of three state government-owned generating companies in Queensland. The project finance facility of $325 million that supports Callide C was supplied by a syndicate of National Australia Bank, Bank of America, and BNP Paribas.

    Intergen Applies For Licenses To Build 800 Mw Co-generation Plant In Rotterdam

    InterGen, through its affiliate Rotterdam Energy Company Ltd., today applied to the Province of South Holland and to the Ministry of Transport and Public Works for licenses to build and operate an 800 MW gas-fired co-generation plant in Rotterdam, Netherlands. InterGen proposes to build this plant on land currently occupied by Nerefco, a refining company, near Pernis in Rotterdam Harbor.

    Intergen And Enka Complete $1.5 Billion Financing Of Major Power Plants In Turkey

    InterGen and its Turkish partner Enka today announced the loan signing of the Gebze, Adapazari, and Izmir natural gas-fired power facilities in Turkey. Taken together, the total financing of $1.5 billion for the three facilities represents one of the largest private sector greenfield power project financings ever completed. Total project cost for the three plants will be over $2 billion.
