Tina Banks is a public affairs specialist for Bechtel, one of the world's premier engineering, construction and project management companies. Tina joined the company in 2018 and has more than 10 years of communications experience in the industry.

As a member of Nuclear, Security, and Environmental Global Business Unit’s public affairs team, Tina is an achievement-driven communicator who delivers creative communications solutions to help Bechtel make the world cleaner and safer. She performs a variety of functions including developing internal and external strategic messages for the business unit, managing key events and conferences, and planning and implementing communications strategy.

Tina is a graduate of Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga., with a Master of Education degree in Sports Administration, including a minor in Communications. She lives in Rockville, Md.

    As the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant ramps up its commissioning phase, Bechtel explored the many contributions made by scientists, universities, and vendors from across the country that have made this first-of-its-kind facility possible. The story of The Catholic University of America’s Vitreous State Laboratory is just one example of these many contributions and how the U.S. Department of Energy and Bechtel have incorporated expertise from around the globe to construct the plant.
