Chris Jennions is the General Manager for the Balkans for Bechtel’s Infrastructure global business unit.

Chris was previously the Project Manager for the 63km, greenfield Route 6 Motorway Project in Kosovo. In that role, Chris was directly responsible for the safety, quality, cost and schedule performance of the Contractor; a joint venture of Bechtel and Enka. Chris had previously led the 82km, greenfield Route 7 Motorway Project in Kosovo to a successful conclusion in 2012.

Chris joined Bechtel in 2005 as an Assistant Field Engineer on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (now High Speed 1) project in London, UK. Since then, Chris has worked on seven projects in seven countries including the Panama Canal Expansion Project, Hamad International Airport in Qatar in commercial management, the Albania Motorway Project as a Tunnel Engineer and Quality Manager, and the Dulles Metrorail in the Washington DC area as the lead Field Engineer for aerial structures.

A British-born, naturalized American engineer who grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and after living outside Zurich, Switzerland for three years attended high school and university in southern England. Chris is passionate about skiing, climbing, and cultural interactions. Chris holds a Master of Engineering in Civil and Architectural Engineering from Bath University, England and an LLM in Construction Law and Arbitration from Robert Gordon University, Scotland.

Since breaking ground just five years ago, the Bechtel-ENKA joint venture team has made substantial progress. Last week, they reached another milestone: the opening of an additional 30km of the road to traffic. With more than half of the 112km Morava Motorway complete, residents and businesses have already begun enjoying faster and easier commutes.
