SWSPlus

SWSPlus^SM is a patented two-column sour water management technology, where the gases from a Sour Water Stripper (SWS) are separated into acid gases (H₂S and CO₂) in one stream and a salable ammonia (NH₃) in another, that can be used as a simple addition to existing refinery equipment. The technology is designed and proven to increase the overall refinery margin by debottlenecking sulfur recovery unit operation and generating an additional revenue stream. Commercially Proven Technology

For every ton of NH₃ removed, approximately 3 tons of hydrogen sulfide can be processed in the downstream Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU). Removing NH₃ allows for effective debottlenecking of the SRU train and increased reliability.
