Capturing a Net Zero Future
The 2024 conference takes place in a critical year for CCUS. With the selection of the Track-1 and Track-2 CCUS Clusters last year, the UK is close to reaching final investment decision for the first UK CCUS projects. The CCUS industry is also ramping up in the EU and beyond – the recent publication of the EU Industrial Carbon Management strategy has reinforced the EU’s commitment to the deployment of CCS, and at the international level, CCUS received its first ever mention in the final outcome of COP28 last year.
CCUS 2024 Focus
The focus this year will be on the way forward for CCUS and the pivotal role it will need to play as we journey towards net zero. The conference will cover many key CCUS topics, such as the UK’s CCUS Vision, cross-border frameworks, how to create a European-wide storage market, markets and mandates, CCU, finding the route-to-market for CCS and Article 6.4.
