Pradeep Pillai is LNG Technology Group Manager at Bechtel Corporation with 25 years of process engineering and technology experience. Pradeep has worked with the LNG group over the past decade having executed projects for Atlantic LNG, Cheniere LNG Liquefaction projects, and Driftwood LNG besides multiple other LNG FEEDS. For the Cheniere LNG program, he was instrumental in the early design, FEED, EPC and successful startup of multiple LNG trains.
In the past, Pradeep was Global Process Chief Engineer of Bechtel Oil, Gas & Chemicals where he led a group of 80 process engineers. Pradeep has held several leadership positions at Bechtel including heading the Bechtel Coker Group (BHTS) and as startup manager for Fortis LNG. He has a wide process engineering and technology background including experience with Bechtel Canada ( heavy oils upgrading), Humphreys and Glasgow (steam methane reformer technology licensing) and the design of a world scale refinery for Reliance, at Jamnagar.
Pradeep is a member of AIChE and is on the leadership committee of the Fractionation Research Institute. He was named Bechtel Distinguished Engineer in 2014. Pradeep is a registered Chartered Engineer in Canada and has several publications related to LNG Technology and Gas Processing, having presented at several international conference venues in the past.
