The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) has awarded Bechtel Gold Corporate Partner status for the company’s contributions to the advancement of chemical engineering and process industries. The status reflects Bechtel’s ongoing professional development of its chemical engineers, significant contributions to the Institution’s career development and certification programs, and its own efforts to help develop the next generation of engineers.

IChemE is the global professional membership organization for people with relevant experience or an interest in chemical engineering. With more than 38,000 members in 120 countries, the institution actively promotes the development, understanding, and use of chemical engineering and encourages young people to pursue careers in chemical engineering.
Bechtel is actively partnering with the Institution and employs more than 500 chemical engineers globally. The company runs an IChemE-accredited training program for graduate engineers, encourages employees to seek IChemE membership, participates in the membership process for engineers pursuing chartered status, and actively engages in education programs.
