Bechtel Named Top U.S. Contractor for 14th Straight Year

Bechtel Corporation has been named the top U.S. contractor in 2012 by Engineering News-Record (ENR), a leading publication for the engineering and construction industry. This marks the 14th consecutive year that Bechtel has ranked first on ENR’s Top 400 Contractors list.

In addition, Bechtel ranked number one on the following specialized lists:

  • Top 20 Petroleum
  • Top 20 Transportation
  • Top 20 Power
  • Top 20 Industrial
  • Top 20 Hazardous Waste Contractors
  • Top 100 Contractors by New Contracts
  • Top 50 Contractors Working Abroad

In 2011, Bechtel helped customers achieve their goals on dozens of projects in nearly 40 countries. Through the company’s five global business units, people who work at Bechtel completed or advanced complex projects that include airports, motorways and rail systems; liquefied natural gas facilities and refineries; first-of-a-kind facilities to safely treat radioactive waste and eliminate obsolete chemical weapons; mineral processing facilities in remote locations; a broad range of power generation facilities; and communications infrastructure.
