Dr. Stewart Taylor is the Corporate Manager of Geotechnical & Hydraulic Engineering Services (G&HES). The G&HES group provides geotechnical engineering, hydraulic & hydrologic engineering, geology & groundwater, earthquake engineering, and geographic information system (GIS) support to all of Bechtel’s global business units. Stew has 30+ years of experience in project engineering, functional management, and technical roles on large engineering and construction projects for commercial and government market sectors. Stew’s technical expertise includes hydraulics, hydrology, hydrogeology, contaminant fate and transport, and groundwater modeling. He has authored more than 50 professional publications and presentations on these topics. He received his BS degree in civil engineering from the University of Kansas, his MS degree in hydraulic engineering from Colorado State University, and his PhD in water resources from Princeton University. Stew is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a Fellow of the Environmental and Water Resources Institute. He was selected as a Bechtel Fellow in 2005 and has served as the Chair of the Bechtel Fellows since 2020.
